Just  took  the  written test.  did  ophtho questions to study mainly.  did  700 +  questions.  Have to say  that  this  years  written  was  quite  different and  questions  did   resemble ones on ophtho  questions.  That being said  i  do think  ophtho  questions  is  a  valuable  resource. Highly  likley i  will  have  to  take  again  next year.  Does anyone  have  any advice  - should i get the basic  science  series  and read  it again.  are  there  other  resources that i  am  overlooking? ( mind  you   i  have read  basic  science in the  past - and  it  was  alot if  info -  not  very  easily memorable info. I  have read  it  cover to  cover  years  ago  and it never  quite  helped)  this  year   when i  was  taking the test  it  seemed  like  reading  the info  was  more important  then   questions in test bank.  Anyone  have  advise  as   to  how  to  strategize for the  next  year?
thanks   sb

Just do qbank and you will be fine, no need to get the BCSC books. I sold mine and it paid my rent.

Anyone know how many questions need to be correct to pass?
Abo website says no curve is in place but no mention of what the scaled score means.

I'm sure there are many questions they are testing out to see if they are actually "good" questions to ask.

Thank you for the compliment.  But your hard work is the reason you passed!  We are just a tool in your toolbox of success.  Take care.
